That looks just big enough for one car (well, maybe not a Hummer!)...but what happens if you meet another coming from the other direction? It reminds me a bit of the Sequoias in California.
That tunnel is only one car wide. Fortunately the other end can be seen, and cars take turns driving through.
I remember you need to honk before entering... :)
Yes, there is a "Honk" sign on the eastern side of the tunnel entrance. Being single lane is no problem when everyone is careful and polite.

This is part of the spectacular Needles Highway in the Black Hills of South Dakota. But then you are familiar with mountain landscapes.
