ReplyDeleteAs Dicky Dreedle said in Catch 22, "There is no free lunch." This is a grocery store promotion. Customers get pennies off for certain food purchases, but it is mostly highly processed foods that get a discount on gas. Those that eat badly drive cheap.
DeleteThat first image is interesting as it blends the actual with the mural... unless studied it is difficult to separate the two.

ReplyDeleteBlack Hills Burger and Bun has a certain panache to it. Would that involve a bison burger?
ReplyDeleteAt least one grocery store here has a system for getting discounted gas by purchasing your food in their establishments.
Black Hills Burger and Bun makes outstanding bison and beef burgers. They also bake their own buns. This place was named the outstanding business this year in the Black Hills. It is a place locals go to eat.
DeleteThe mural looks like fun! Ant discount on gas is good but too bad you have to eat badly to get it.

Deletei get my fuel from kroger. everytime i grocery shop i get gas points. with every hundred spent, it's 10 cents off a gallon. right now i have 30 cents off...it adds up quick!
ReplyDeleteKroger has a good program. The Hy Vee only gives discounts for certain foods which are not always the best quality, and often highly processed.
