Wall Paintings in Art Ally in Rapid City, SD

  1. Very interesting art and well photographed. Are the oringal works in color? I would imagine the colors to be rather garish if they are and perhaps difficult to look at. Your choice of b&w here really works well and allows one to appreciate the detail of these murals. Great work!

    1. These paintings are mostly in b&w, but there is color surrounding them. Thought b&w would bring out their strong graphic shapes.

  2. Obviously a very skilled artist at work here. Nice idea to photograph them so they can be shared.

    1. Rapid City's Art Ally has varying skill levels of art, and this is some of the best, but there is much more. Perhaps I will post a few more from Art Ally.

  3. That first piece of art looks like it should. The second looks like the first melted! ;)

Hope you're doing well. I'm on and off with the blogging. But all is cool.

    1. Believe these two paintings are by the same artist, but like all graffiti, the artist's signature is not suppose to be legible.

  5. We stayed in Rapid on one visit to SD ...missed art alley. Glad to know it's there even if we never get to go back to see it.
