One usually thinks of brewing beer when seeing fermentation tanks, however the process is also used in the chemical industry to make important drugs and chemical intermediates. A number of important antibiotics are prepared in tanks much like these, only much larger. Looks like a selfie there in the front tank!
Hi Ed & Karl, these are beer fermentation tanks in our one and only brew pub. They make some fine products. I've been through wineries that look about the same. Had not thought about the chemical and drug industry, but that makes perfect sense. Yes, that is a self reflection.
Here in Connecticut the craft brew business has exploded recently with small breweries opening all over the state. One is scheduled to open down the road from me next March. I can't wait ;)
