Never stayed here, but might check it out some time. It's only about 30 minutes from home, so little need to stay. It is cooling down here, but today should be pleasant, sunny in the mid 40s. Last week we had temperatures in the low to mid teens in the morning with gusty wind. Starting to feel like winter.
Ed, I've found out that the building was built in 1908 to house traveling salesmen who got off the train here. It is constructed of Sioux Quartzite which local Indians called rose stone. There is a stone quarry that is still active in this small town. In 1991 the building was renovated as a B&B, and rooms are $95 per night with a gourmet breakfast.
Looks like an oldie but goodie. Have you ever stayed there?
ReplyDeleteI've heard it's cooling down up your way. Is that possible?

DeleteI bet there must be some very interesting history here. Do you know how old the inn is? It's definitely a picture out of the past.
