This particular piece of prairie is a research project by South Dakota State University to grow native grass on good land and measure the economic reward for doing so. They harvest seed, sometimes by hand, and graze cattle to measure the economics of this type of "farming." There is a small crew who care for cattle, maintain fence, harvest seed, and control noxious weeds. Hope they find positive rewards for this activity.
Simplicity contains a lot.

DeleteMe too! So glad to hear there are people who may find economic justification to restore the land to its natural state.
DeleteWe can only hope it works out for the best.
