Have you done any post processing on these images? They look much more saturated than your typical images. Just wondering....
I do look at the images in Photoshop and reduce their resolution to post, but the saturation and light is much as it appeared in the original images. Shot these with my new wide angle lens. It's a honey.
Very nice. That top shot is so iconic of towns in the midwest. I love the light in both of these shots. Looks like things are warming up!

You need to go back and get a photo of the green house on the corner... then post it to your blog.
The first scene would fit happily into Connecticut. Not so the second one. Your streets look pretty wide.
The top shot is a great composition.
The streets look very slippery, I like the red STOP sign.
