Melting Snow
For the last several months I never thought this day would come when the snow from this winter would melt. The ground is still frozen down six to seven feet, so little of this melt water is seeping into the ground. It just runs off.
6 to 7 feet frozen? Yikes! What's going to happen when all the snow melts and runs off into the rivers and lakes? You've got to be tough to live up there!
Spring makes its way slowly, at its pace not ours.
ReplyDeleteHere , this first week-end of spring offers us a storm with wind and rain! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteI wish it would warm up enough to rain. This morning it was 11 degrees, but it is sunny.

ReplyDeleteIt's the same thing here!
ReplyDeleteLowell wrote what I have been thinking. I do worry about flooding in the spring.
ReplyDeleteSame thawing conditions here. Winter is not over yet.
