This is a great find and nicely captured and rendered as usual. Looks like a place with endless photo opportunities. I particularly like the Beer sign on the old gas pump.
It is still in business, and has a restaurant attached also. Not sure those gas pumps are still active. Doubt it. I need to go back there to answer my questions and take more photos.
Unfortunately Ed is right, the pump wasn't for beer, but I'm sure they had plenty of cold beer inside. Came across this place while driving back roads in Texas Hill Country.

ReplyDeleteIs this still in business. Looks like something from the 30s or 40s. A wonderful memory jerker!

DeleteI thought it was a beer pump - until I read Ed's comment :-(
ReplyDeleteSigh.
Wishful thinking there, Martina! ;)

DeleteMaybe it isn't a beer pump - but it does make it look as if the locals round there are very thirsty people!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't know, but a number of locals were carrying on a conversation in the middle of Main Street. They seemed friendly.
