It's the same formation that I see here. They hang out on the bay then all of a sudden for no reason every geese head skyward.

ReplyDeleteThey are more likely flying from the summer breeding grounds to their winter vacation.
DeleteI hope they are not heading north since it is really cold here today.

ReplyDeleteAmazing to have see them so late in the season. Any bird with any sense had already left the area. Great looking in black and white. I hope they had a good trip south.

ReplyDeleteThis was only a small percentage of the geese flying as the flocks went from one horizon to the other.
Delete...a beautiful sight, but ours don't migrate these days!
