These folks, mostly retirees, live in their RVs, and travel from one Habitat For Humanity affiliate to another building houses across the country. They will be here building for two weeks before moving on to another Habitat affiliate. We try to show them a good time while they are here with dinners, tours, and an ice cream social. Their work is greatly appreciated as they are highly skilled and willing workers.

Great initiative.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to volunteer and you get to visit a lot of places you would otherwise miss.
ReplyDeleteHabitat for Humanity is a great organization. I've seen the work they do around here. If I had the skills, I would consider being a part, but I have no skills with hammers, saws or other tools for that matter. Very nice group portrait!
ReplyDeleteEd, you don't have to be skilled to volunteer. No skills needed. They will be happy to teach you everything you need to know.
DeleteImpressive people!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great thing to do.
