Chevrolet Series V Landau 1926
Chevrolet introduced this car two years before the Model A Ford, but in many ways it was a more advanced automobile than the Ford. It has electric start, runs quietly, and provides a surprisingly smooth ride. This car is unrestored and runs great, not bad for an 89 year old car.
I LOVE it. Bud and I went to an antique car show this weekend and I have some fabulous pictures of an old Ford truck. Can’t wait to post it for you and the other that appreciate the vintage vehicles. A beauty.
What a beautiful old car! And if you're wondering, the short hike to Siamese Twins in Garden of the Gods is on an official maintained trail, so if you're in the area again, search it out :)
Wow, that's a car !
ReplyDeleteSuch a classy old beauty TFG, looks like it could do with a bit of love and attention though :)
ReplyDeleteIt is in the process of receiving all the attention it needs.
DeleteI hope I still start at 89!
ReplyDeleteIt's in great condition for 89! It ought to be amazing once the work is complete.

ReplyDeleteOh wonderful! No car built nowadays will last even a third of that time!
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder why the Ford was apparently so much more successful (or at least recognizable). Better marketing maybe?
ReplyDeleteThat is really amazing vintage car...

ReplyDeleteElectric start with a crank start? And is that the carb side? Not gravity fed, is it venturi?
ReplyDeleteAwesome looking car, one of the first examples of American public preferring mass produced Model A verse more expensive and more advanced?
