House and Pump in B&W

  1. These pics could very well have been taken in Minnesota. If you wanted water at my grandmother's farm, you had to go pump the well. A big barrel caught rainwater for washing. The "good ol' days"! :)

    1. Many Midwestern farms had a windmill over the well so that wind was used to pump water. It's missing on this pump.

    2. Could be anywhere from MN through MT, these shots are really getting a sense of the region. I love the landscape/architecture out there but have never gotten out to shoot there in winter.

  2. I guess that's the cold mid-west. Luckily Berkshire, UK, is a little warmer at this time of the year.
