A friend of mine is driving through the middle of the country and in fact, was just up in your area, and he made mention of all the corn fields everywhere that went on forever and ever. Amen!
I didn't mean to make light of the harvest ... I know it's a lot of work. I just remember sitting on the back of a hay baler in the hot California sun breathing in all that dust and dirt...ugh! :)
Because of fatigue I think, the only occupation more dangerous than farming is coal mining. Farmers lose body parts in machinery, if they are at all careless.
