That achiever is something I don't recognize. Strange-looking creature. What exactly doth it do? Grain elevators I am familiar with (or I am familiar with grain elevators.) Thank goodness you weren't an English teacher!
We grow huge amounts of grain around here. This elevator stores them prior to rail shipment to the grain markets of the world. These grains include but aren't limited to corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, barley, and rye.

ReplyDeleteThat Achiever is a screen machine to separate soils and rocks. Think this one is used for landscaping soils. Helps achieve great looking plantings.

DeleteBig, noisy machines, I love them all. I didn't know the 'Achiever' was call that, pretty interesting. I bet the elevator is fun to watch up close.
ReplyDeleteThe Achiever reminds me of those B&W sci-if movies of the 50s and early 60s. May have nightmares tonight.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots that looks very good in b&w!
