Transformers and Bin

  1. Great photos! I particularly like the transformers, all looking like soldiers in a row. The B&W treatment works very well here, really making the clouds pop against the sky. Nice job!

    1. Thanks Ed. Hadn't thought of soldiers, they are more like grave stones?

    2. Yes, I can see gravestones, now that you mention it. I see some more "anthropomorphic" character in these transformers due to the extra appendages. No matter what you see here, it's a great image.

  2. At first glimpse I thought gravestones ;) Incredible sight - never seen anything like it.

    1. This is a storage yard of a company that rebuilds electrical transformers. I liked the patterns made by the transformers.

  3. I also thought gravestones initially. These are perfect in black & white!

  5. My first reaction was to think of the American Cemetery in Normandy, where you see row upon row of crosses. This utility company should be proud of how neatly its workers have lined up the spare transformers waiting for assignment.
