It is to honor the cultures of Lakota and Dakota people, and symbolizes courage, perseverance, and wisdom of these two tribes. It is located at an Interstate rest stop along I-90 near Chamberlin, South Dakota.

ReplyDeleteIt is impressive. I have no idea why, but I'd like it better if it weren't quite so big. I think its message gets diluted by its gargantuation nature. Don't be angry with me--- I am still impressed.
