I read "1816" on the sign on the left. if it's the year this wheel was made, I can't imagine how many things it has seen!!!

There is something special about wooden wheels.
Always nostalgic, always a sight that takes one far away--- but for the life of me, I can't imagine how uncomfortable it was for those folks.
