I learned how to type on a machine much like that. We have it so much better today! In fact, to be able to backspace and erase would have been unimaginable way back when!
My dad sold typewriters for a living for most of his career. He was smart enough to sell the business just before the market vanished. I love typewriters but can not live without spell check.
The good old days. The only thing that has not changed is the layout of the keyboard.
