My grandmother had one of these, old style gas range with upper oven, on 4 legs. For her Birthday one year, Grandpa, with consulting her, a new range as a surprise. Trouble trouble trouble. It was insisted the old range had to return, but it had been sold, no matter, it was repurchased, at a premium, and Grandma's baked goods were back to normal. Poor Grandpa!
And I think it will still works.

ReplyDeleteMy Aunt had a gas range like this that produced many excellent meals. One of her grandchildren now has it, and I believe it is still in use.
DeleteI've been looking at old things this week too TFG.. they have so much more charm than modern day appliances ☺
