    I imagine they are required to be reasonably humane--- the traps, not the bears. Another interesting find.

    I've seen signs warning of active bears and mountain lions where I hike, but never bear traps.

    Thanks to all of you who made comments. The bears should be in the woods, and should never have bear traps in their environment. Those traps are cruel and evil.
