Buried in Snow
For those of you not from South Dakota, this sculpture is based on a painting by artist, illustrator Harvey Dunn called The Prairie Is My Garden. See Below.
I like! It appears y'all are gonna get hit with some cold weather pretty soon. We are too. It went down to 49 degrees here last night! Have a great weekend, my friend!
I know the snow will be here soon, but I'm not looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThe sculpture, half buried in snow ☺ looks very true to the picture TFG.
ReplyDeleteThe prairie contains of course flowers in spring and summer but is not well known for it. And a lot of snow in winter it seems.

ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful and thrilling to look at.

FRANKLY MY DEAR
The painting is wonderful, with the fine composition and the happy colors. Not sure the statue captures the warmth.
ReplyDeleteloved that you shared both images :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that artwork before
ReplyDeleteSo much snow! We had over 50 cm 3 weeks ago, but almost all has melted. Love to have some of it back for Christmas :)
