Sooooo different of what we have here! Our cemetery are like small towns, with lots of "buildings" and statues, and small streets! Yours are like meadows..
The design of the sign and gate almost looks like an entry area to a farm. A lovely idea for a cemetery area. And thank you for your information on the Montalto vineyard sculpture I posted on my Mornington Peninsula Daily. I had no idea that the sculpture interpretted a war symbol.
Mt. Auburn Cemetery? This sure surprised me. Mt. Auburn Cemetery is a big cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, near Watertown. Many famous people are buried there. (It looks different.)

Your B&W shots work so well!
ReplyDeleteStrange that the gates appear locked?
ReplyDeleteThe gates are closed to keep cars out, but I don't think they are locked.
DeleteSorry about the second post, but the new linky got away from me.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry - several people have had trouble this week. Mr Linky is obviously feeling over-generous!
ReplyDeleteI love the wide spaces in your photos.
A great b&w contribution!
