Birdman, laugh all you want, but the top one was from Sheldom Art Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the bottom one was shot in the Wichita Art Museum in Wichita, Kansas. The only question is, "Is it art?" Don't think so, but I'm no authority.
Hah! A fine series. Whenever i encounter one of those wonderful old all-the-way-to-the-floor urinals, I pause for a moment to admire the elegance and craftsmanship of the past. Just for a moment. My bladder is not very patient.
Whew! I got a little worried when I read you were showing men's plumbing! But then I saw they were merely porcelain pissers...
ReplyDeleteLove it. I posted a photo of the inside of a men's room a few years ago and people went nuts criticizing me for it. I don't know why.
ReplyDeleteI thought these were art installations in a museum ... hm ...
ReplyDeleteSort of, but the installers weren't thinking about art. See my comment to Birdman.
DeleteVery Marcel Duchamp I think. Ehem.
Delete;-)
Duchamp's piece "Fountain" would fit right into today's post. Perhaps he was just being cynical about modern art.
DeleteWhat he might have been cynical about then is classical art today :-)
DeleteBtw I think museums etc. give a little bit more attention to their installations than for example rest stops.
Thanks for the 'urine samples' today. Museum?????????? Oh Cripes! I'm gagging in laughter!
