The Northern Cardinal is the official state bird in seven states. In South Dakota we hunt and eat our state bird, the Pheasant.

ReplyDeleteAh, yes. I had many cardinals last summer in Connecticut. Or one couple that I saw frequently (I didn't tag them). In Naples I hear them but it is harder to see them. They hide inside the leaf cover.
