This year over 700,000 Sandhill cranes stopped to rest and feed along the Platte River in Nebraska before continuing their migration to northern Canada and Alaska. It is an amazing sight to see them coming back to the river where they feel safe from predators to spend the night.

ReplyDeleteThat is amazing!
ReplyDeleteNow, that's a flock - impressive photo!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo!
ReplyDeleteAmazing sight and shot. They must put their reservations in early. :)
ReplyDeleteThecontemplativecat here. Such an impressive sight. In the fall, Canadian geese fly down to our farming area in Illinois. Harvest is done, and they find kernels of corn, bits of wheat. A field can be black with the thousands of them.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely looks like there's a good number of them.
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful shot of them all and love the sky :-D
