Ah, you have been having fun with cars lately, haven't you? Your question about Cannondale and trains made me do some research. Cannondale is a neighborhood at the northern edge of Wilton, about three miles south of Ridgefield, along U. S. Route 7 (a/k/a the Ethan Allen Highway). Cannondale straddles the highway, which runs north and south, and the rail lines are close nearby and parallel. Cannondale has a grand total population of 141. The rail line is a Metro-North feeder line that runs from Danbury (the city to the north of Ridgefield) to Norwalk (a city two towns south, on the Connecticut shore). New York commuters who use the line would change trains in Norwalk. Just eyeballing the schedule, it looks like each stop along the Danbury Line including Cannondale gets stops for passengers when the train runs, and they run maybe 15 times each day in each direction. It is busier than I would have guessed for such a rustic setting. (Jack)
