We have a couple of big facilities like that nearby. Both are ports on the Columbia where large numbers of trains unload large amounts of grain-- which is then loaded onto large numbers of ocean-going ships. Tacoma, to the North, is also a big port, but travel through Puget Sound adds at least a day to shipping time.
The land is so flat.

ReplyDeleteThe grain storage tanks are pretty impressive to see up close. I have some photos of them but I don't remember if it was in Montana or North Dakota.
