    What is it a memorial for people sinking through the ice ?

      It could be a memorial for people freezing their butts while watching a hole in the ice.

    ...I've never been a fisherman, but ice fishing is one activity that I will NEVER understand! Thanks my friend for sharing this reminder of how cold things are going to get in awhile.

    I have always thought that ice fishing is among the dumbest hobbies. You could not pay me enough to get me out there. I don't like freezing and I have no interest in fishing. That is why there are fish counters at grocery stores.
