I recently showed the ceiling of this church. Thought you might like a few more pictures to show what it looks like. It is gothic architecture with a modernist twist.

ReplyDeleteThe colors from the stained glass are fantastic. Must have been a beautiful, sunny day.
They are hoping to complete construction by 2016, the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death. He said his patron (God) was in no hurry to finish the church.

ReplyDeleteI think Southern Baptists could take some lessons about how to build a church from the people who did this beauty. As you know, I'm not religious, but a church like this does bring me to my knees!
