The 2'x6' J.D. sign, made from 1910-1940, enamel on steel, is worth between $1,800-$2,000 if you can find one. What attracted my eye is a lack of green color. Now J.D. is known for its green color.
Excellent signs TFG, I have a friend who collects and renovates John Deere tractors, costs him a fair bit I think but he gets them as real wrecks and fixes them up. All the very best for 2014 from Perth, let's hope it's a good one!
These signs look in great shape. I hope they're not reproductions. It's great finding such colorful old signs. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThese original dealership signs were found in the Agriculture Heritage Museum here in Brookings.
DeleteWorth some $$$$$ too I bet.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2014. Make every day special.

ReplyDeleteNo, that was not a Woolworth's sign. It is a wool buying sign aimed at those who keep sheep.
