Yes, they are the giant white pelicans who hang out at Oakwood Lakes State Park during warm months. This year their numbers are up because many of the prairie pothole ponds have dried up while Oakwood lakes are just down some to provide roosting sand bars.

Beautiful photos and reflections! I see that the pelicans are at Oakwood Lakes State Park. My daughter and her husband have a cabin near there.
