- Currently retired and enjoying life.
The Missouri River is flooding thousands of square miles of land due to Rocky Mountain snow melt. The mountains got 600-700 percent of "normal" snow fall last winter. Gavins Point Dam is releasing 160,000 cubic feet of water per second. This level of release will continue through August. We could see the mist rising more than a mile from the Dam.
