Perhaps the holes are the pauses in their conversation, or not. One of the great things about abstract work is we get to read all kinds of things into it.
Interesting sculpture. It kind of reminds me of a very modernistic, abstract version the painting "American Gothic". I wonder what is exactly meant by "nonrepresentational"??
Had not thought about "American Gothic." "Nonrepresentational" might be an excellent beginning of a long discussion, preferably accompanied by a good bottle of wine.
Indeed an interesting sculpture and a bit sad. The nonverbal communication of these inanimate objects speaks volumes...if inanimate objects could talk. Well Done!
