Indeed an old advertisment. These days it wouldn't do.But I don't get it completely. Is this meant literally or is it just dismissed.
The sign is an obvious double entendre, so it has two literal meanings.

I cannot believe that ANYONE would miss the original intent of this sign! It wasn't trying to discourage low cut blouses.
