    I know what shoreline means but what is the line the boy held in his hand. Fishing line or a line with a magnet to fish metal out of the water. A hobby lots of kids do these days here in the netherlands with sometimes spectacular results.

      Yes, I think he had a magnet on that line looking for metal objects under water.

    I am puzzled with the colour of the water - dark brown (it is probably due to light reflection or so, but very unusual to see)
