ReplyDeleteEvery time the Landsat 7 & 8 satellites pass over the U.S. they download images to this antenna, images like the one here.

ReplyDeleteHi Jeff! Thanks for your kind words. It's good to be back. Love the colors in that first photo, especially. Is the round thingy an antenna? You're right about the bikes. I have to be careful riding these days; I've fallen a couple of times. So, we bought a 3-wheeler but I don't much like it. And I had just bought a gorgeous Trek which is now lounging about waiting until I can get back on it. Hope all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteThat fiberglass sphere houses the antenna. It keeps it from the weather. When it snows someone must go out and remove the snow from the sphere. There is a rope from the top for that purpose.
