Love it. I worked as a summer employee and later my first job out of college with Mobil Oil. I always thought they had the best logo with the Pegasus.
I agree about the Pegasus logo. One still sees it occasionally, but don't think Mobil Oil uses it any more.
Pegasus is still on the pump and used for the Speedpass system... at least around here.
Is this a working station or a museum? Mobil has very different colors now. In fact, I see very few Mobil stations in this area. P.S. Do know that you're known around CDP as TFG? Pretty nice.
It is an outdoor display, not a working station. And, yes, I will answer to TFG, but then I also answer to, "Hey You!."
Aw brings back memories---I met my husband when he worked in 'gas' station while going to school 60 yrs ago. He worked at a 'Flying A'--remember that oneMB
Mobil in Canada is better known as Esso. I am proud to say I remember those gas pumps from my younger days.
Funny how all the Standard Oil companies had to split up--- and 100 years later, they're all recombining.... Mobil (Socony Vacuum) Standard Oil of New York. Fine looking pumps.
Love that old pump!
Nice find. Brings me back to the 1950s.
Memories are made of this!
I love seeing these old items--reminders of the 'good ole days'!
