Anytime I'm done south I always admire the Pelicans and their antics.
I never knew there were pelicans in South Dakota. I associate them more with coastal and southern coastal climates. Very interesting.
I think like Ed . Strange mix, naked trees and pélicans, I usually imagine them among palm trees! :o)
I had no idea that they came that far north either!
It's lovely to see the birds spread across the lake. And the second shot is great too.
The first image is fascinating . . . all the pelicans are in a line.
Jack, pelicans herd schools of fish, concentrate them, and then feed in unison. Smart birds.
Oh well done TFG, I love the pelicans, so hard to catch them in flight.
That 2nd shot could have been taken in Florida. I didn't know you had pelicans up in the northland.
