    1. Thanks Scott. Had I been about 30 seconds later the concrete truck would have been gone. Just got the shot. The pump is an amazing process to watch. It is fast and efficient.

  2. This is not usual here, but I have seen it done sometimes...

    1. Hi VP. The decision to use a pump was the concrete contractors. With it I suspect they can use a smaller crew and be finished faster with less physical effort. I thought the process interesting.

  3. Doesn't it look like a huge insect's legs? Perhaps a grasshopper's? And yes, I like watching them, too. They are a common sight around here - perhaps because everything is smaller? A very efficient means in this case, i.e. not much space.

    1. Yes, a grasshopper's leg would be right. Grasshoppers are plentiful just now, but concrete pumps not so much.

  4. This emphasizes to me that there are many, many ways to earn a living, and most of us take a lot of this stuff for granted. (No pun intended.)

    1. I do many tasks that I'm glad I didn't have to do for a living such as replace mufflers and tailpipes on cars, or roof houses. Glad there are people who want to do these things. Feel free to make all the puns you want. I always enjoy them.
