  1. I have to confess I'm not sure what this sign refers to - is there a basket below where you leave an order form for later delivery?

    1. Order at the microphone, and pick up at the window, but no checks accepted for payment. They do take cash and credit cards.

    2. Ah it's a drive-thru place - I forgot Americans like to shop without getting out of their vehicles.

  2. No checks? You have to put cash inside, with the order? Do they take also pesos?

    1. No pesos, but they might take Drachma as it is a Greek Restaurant, or perhaps Euros? Not sure, never asked.

    1. I also thought it really odd that May 5th is being celebrated on May 11. Perhaps Sioux Falls wanted the party to be on a Saturday?

  4. Yes, I'm a bit confused too with the dates mentioned. Interesting though.

    1. Perhaps no one in Sioux Falls speaks enough Spanish to know that cinco is five.

  5. Not sure if the second sign is connected with the first sign! The walk sounds as if it is just for viewing. The second sign refers to orders for both art and wine? Certainly intriguing!

    1. It's an old sign, so perhaps checks were more common then.

  7. I always forget that you spell "cheques" a different way until I see a sign. :)

  8. And in Australia, the take-away shops and restaurants spell Gyros as Yeeros, which is closer to the Greek pronunciation.
