We lived in a 2nd-floor condo in south Florida...right outside one window was a tall palm tree. The redheaded woodpeckers loved it. We'd hear "rat-a-tat-tat" all day long. Yikes!
So far as turkeys go, I'm familiar with them. Worked with and for a few over the years!
Looks like my backyard. I think that's a red-bellied woodpecker, but I could be wrong. They frequent my feeders as well. I know their bellies aren't red. I haven't been lucky enough to capture an image of one yet.

Lowell, it's hard to fly like an eagle when you work with turkeys.
