  2. I forgot to say that you honor me by saying that my photo reminds you of a photo by W. Eugene Smith. He is a master black and white photojournalist. I know the photograph you mention. The element that is genius is the inclusion of two small children walking hand in hand through the opening. Did you know that they are Smith's own children? Genius.

  4. That motel has been around a long time...looks like something built in the 60s. But it also looks well-cared for. I wonder if you have to give your real name when you check in?

    1. So long as you pay cash, you can be "John Smith" or anyone else you wish. It has been there for at least 48 years that I know, and probably long before that. We were there because of an excellent Mexican restaurant on the corner, 26th and O St, Lincoln, Nebraska.
