Two Model T Ford Hobo Parade Vehicles

2 comments:

  1. Thank you Milandailyphoto. The cars are 1914 and 1915 Model T Fords. The black one is called the Bum Mobile, is owned by South Dakota State University (SDSU), and is part of the Hobo Day tradition here. The red Model T pickup truck is owned by the Agriculture Heritage Museum at SDSU.

Note the rabbit head radiator cap. The Jack Rabbit is the mascot of this school. This is the first public appearance of this cast brass jack rabbit head radiator cap. The fellow driving the car is Berry Dun, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Biological Science. He is talking to Bill Lee, Curator of the Ag Heritage Museum who maintains this car and designed the radiator cap.
