Cattails


This used to be a pond, but it became shallow with the last few years of dry conditions. The cattails have taken over so this is the end of this pond.

    Can't see the word and not think of Gordon Lightfoot. I like this image. I have a sense of being there.

    Cattails are a wonderful wetland plant, but here they are being crowed out by Phragmites!
