Taliesin West was Frank Lloyd Wright's Phoenix home and school for architects. The day after we were there the architecture school announced they were closing after 90 years of producing architects. They could no longer get along with the Foundation that now runs the Wright properties.
And then to know when I was there the driver of the car I was in and the other passengers didn't' want to go to Scotsdale so we went to Phoenix instead. (1998). That was the reason to get my driver license and a car at the age of 58 . Later on I did a trip along the most works of F.L Wright in a rented car but never to Talisien West.
ReplyDeleteHm. I left that architecture path in 2001 for good. A diploma for nothing. And reading of handimen who refuse to work for people that work at AUDI/VW cause they´re arrogant and do not pay.
ReplyDeleteThink I did choose the right path leaving architecture, sad as it is.
It's a great place to visit but, I must say I hadn't heard the news you are reporting. I'll have to research that.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds frustrating.
ReplyDeleteThat seems a shame!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if that lane way is plowed but it looks as if it was. My lane way doesn't get plowed and gets shoveled by each property owner and then after a few days the city comes along with a bit of salt to help us out.
Wow. That seems a bit odd??
ReplyDeleteOdd but I suppose after years of getting along it might be time to bow out.

Well that’s a bummer that they are closing, glad you got to visit! ... looks like you’re spending some days in warmer climes!
ReplyDeleteOh that's a shame TFG, even the best of relationships go through bad times
ReplyDeleteHow sad that a bit of politics is closing the doors. Thanks for sharing.

Why can't people play nicely and ensure everyone has a good time? Grrrrr!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
