Bald Cypress at Blue Hole

  1. We have a "blue hole" in the Florida Keys. There used to be a monster alligator there and we were up close and feeding the thing popcorn. That was before I knew better. Did you know those guys can run at 35 mph?

    1. Yes, I knew they can be very fast over a relatively short distance, so I always prefer to keep my distance. Even the small ones have a big mouth with lots of teeth.

  2. These trees are called "bald" because they loose their leaves in the winter, so they go bald. Other varieties of Cypress trees are green year around.

  4. We have a different kind of cypress in Florida. I keep taking photographs of them but never like the results enough to show them.
