    1. Including the amusement park in the middle, this is the largest mall in America, but only the 12th largest in the world.

  2. A familiar scene! Your title made me think of Pall Malls. Haven't seen those in years; wonder if they still make 'em?

    1. No one with any sense smokes cigarettes any more, but yes, they are still made by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.

  5. You could also have called this "isolation" or "introversion."

Thanks for your visits while I have been in France. I return to reality early next week. You asked about my choosing a different angle for the Rouen Cathedral shots than the angle Monet chose. Two reasons. First, I chose my angle based on where the fewest other people in the plaza were standing, in order to minimize the mob scene. Second, I didn't google the images until after I got back to my laptop and only then realized that I chose the wrong side of the plaza. But -- spoiler alert! -- come back tomorrow for an interesting repeat photo of the cathedral, this time from the correct side.

  6. So much to see...furniture, people, escalator, restaurant...and the list goes on. Love the geometrics of this shot.

  7. I enlarged this to see it better. There's such loneliness here.

  8. So many greaat lines, and wonderful light. I love the dark patches that set off the whole.

  9. Not a lot of business going on there. Probably rare to see a mall so empty.
