A friend's house was hit last week by a small tornado. It completely removed his attached garage, totaled his car, damaged his pickup truck, tractor, and motorcycle. The roof of the house was also badly damaged. One of his neighbors had a house twisted off its foundation. Think that one is a complete loss.
How awful TFG, there's nothing to be done when mother nature gets mad!

ReplyDeleteThis is so sad, and quite unimaginable here...
ReplyDeleteWeather can be brutal... hope your home was OK.
ReplyDeleteWeather is powerful here, but our house had no damage. I did have to rake up loads of branches and sticks from the yard.
DeleteHope everyone was unharmed. I've seen what tornadoes can do firsthand.
ReplyDeleteNo one was harmed. My friend was on his new motorcycle in Sturgis at the time the tornado hit. He had to ride home when he found out.
DeleteIt's enough to bring one to tears. No one injured eh.
ReplyDeleteThis is tough, Taken. Mother Nature can be pretty nasty when she gets upset. I am reminded that this is the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina's demolition of a major American city. I sure hope your friend and his neighbor were well insured.
ReplyDeleteThere was insurance, but it doesn't cover all the loss.
DeleteOne can only hope that no-one was injured. How heartbreaking to lose your home.
ReplyDeleteHeartbreaking!

ReplyDeleteThat is devastating, and no doubt very frightening to live through.
