    1. Yes, the state just spent a fortune to re-coat the Capital Dome with pure gold. The state does that about every 35-40 years just to keep it shiny.

  4. It is a nice capitol building. It bears some similarities with the capitols of Connecticut (which is more ornate but has a similar dome) and Rhode Island (which has a rounder dome).
